    Clay County Beekeepers Association is one of the largest associations in the state. It is recognized throughout the beekeeping community for its important role as mentors to beekeeping hobbyists, professionals and suppliers. No less important is the associations continuing efforts to educate the public about the vital importance of the honey bee. The group is able to accomplish these goals through superior membership that gets involved and stays involved.

    October 10 CCBA Mentor Meeting - There will be two classroom sessions one at 8:00 am and one at 9:00 am. These are FOR CCBA MEMBERS ONLY.  The link to sign-up for the Mentor Meeting Sessions is https://claymentormtg.eventbrite.com.  Only 20 members will be allowed to attend per session. Please don’t sign up for both. Face masks will be required for all participants.

    October 12  Monthly Meeting - 7:00pm and due to Covid-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 50.  Only current CCBA members may attend.  No food or drinks will be served, all attendees will be required to wear masks, and social distancing will be practiced.  No speaker is scheduled for this meeting. 
   Individuals at a higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19 (including older adults and vulnerable people of all ages with certain underlying medical conditions) should avoid in-person events and gatherings at this time. We will have to turn away those without masks, even unfortunately for those with a medical exemption.

     October 24, Beginner Beekeeper Short Course, 8:30am-3:30pm.  This course is also available for virtual participation.  Pre-registration is required by Sunday, October 18th, 2020 for in-person tickets. There is a $15.00 individual registration fee or $25.00 per couple, as well as a $10.00 fee for virtual participation for this course to cover the purchase of materials.
     Due to concerns of COVID-19, lunch will not be provided this fall. Please bring a bag lunch and feel free to bring snacks as well. 
     Face coverings are required for all participants at in-person events.
